  • 5. Do I need to pass my Theory Test before booking an intensive driving course?

We recommend that you pass your driving theory test before booking any intensive driving course that includes a practical driving test. You will make rapid progress putting the theory into practice.

It is not possible to book a practical test until you have passed the theory test and it is often several weeks from booking until the first available practical driving test appointment. So it is not realistic to expect to be able to pass both theory and practical driving tests in a week or even two.

Whether or not you have passed your theory your course will start on the booked date but the last day can be held back until the test day.

  • 6. Do you arrange both theory and practical tests?

Yes. We can book theory and practical tests for you.

However we recommend that you pass your theory test before booking your intensive driving course. This is because it is not possible to book a practical test for you until you have passed your theory test.

Most people want their practical test arranged for the end of their intensive course. For many test centres the average waiting time for a test appointment from booking is 6 weeks. For some test centres it can be as much as 12 weeks. The waiting time for tests is constantly changing and sometimes shorter notice cancellation slots can become available but cannot be relied upon.

The average waiting time for Theory Tests is about 2 weeks.

The availability of our courses takes into account the availability of both theory and practical test appointments.

Please note that it is virtually impossible to take a theory test and practical test over 14 days.

When you book your course you will have up to 14 days to cancel and receive a full refund.

After 14 days the deposit is non-refundable.

  • 8. What payment methods do you accept when booking an intensive driving course?

  • 9. Do you have instructors in my area?

We have instructors for intensive driving courses in all areas of mainland UK.

Once a booking deposit is received we immediately start work arranging a driving test appointment and allocating an instructor.

It is not possible reserve course and test dates without a booking deposit.

You can cancel your booking at anytime within 14 days and receive a full refund.

  • 10. What happens after I pay the deposit for my intensive driving course?

After you have paid your deposit you have the right to cancel at anytime within 14 days.

If your intensive driving course includes a practical driving test our first task is to book a test appointment at a local driving test centre to coincide with the end of the course and allocate an instructor.

Depending on availability of driving tests and instructors we may come back to you with alternative course and test dates.

You are under no obligation to accept alternative dates and if you have not explicitly agreed to revised course and test dates within 14 days of booking we will automatically cancel and refund your deposit in full.

  • 14. Do you have cancellation slots or earlier course dates?

Hardly any courses get cancelled once the booking has been confirmed. So the chances of one getting cancelled for the dates you would prefer in your area are tiny.

Availability of intensive driving courses on our website are based on whether or not you have passed your theory test, the type of vehicle and whether you already have a test appointment booked.

All driving test appointments are administered by the DVSA. The average waiting time for a test appointment from booking to test date is about 6 weeks but can be 8 or even 12 weeks in some parts of the UK. It is not possible to know the waiting time at a particular test centre unless making a booking.

When we book a practical driving test for you your course start date will be in roughly 6 weeks time.

If a theory test is required we add another 2 weeks to allow for passing that.

Far fewer instructors are able to provide intensive driving courses in automatic rather than manual cars. As a result they tend to be busier and fully booked further ahead so we add another 2 weeks to allow for this.

If you want an intensive driving course in a manual car and already have a test appointment your earliest course start date will be in about 4 weeks time.
